The Nursing Council of New Zealand assesses your application and decides whether you must undertake a competence assessment. Not every applicant does.
Where a competence assessment is required, the first part is an online multiple-choice examination of nursing knowledge, delivered through Pearson VUE.
The second part is taken in person and concludes in an objective structured clinical examination assessing safe, competent practice.
The current New Zealand surface explains the registration and competence-assessment route without presenting another country's study bank as an NCNZ product.
Content refers to the Nursing Council of New Zealand and its competencies rather than substituting another country's licensure model.
The registration guide cites the Council's own published material and records the date it was read, rather than repeating a preparation vendor's summary.
Lessons and questions are monitored against their source guidelines and withdrawn from delivery when a source materially changes.
