FNP
Decongestants matter in FNP preparation because they sit at the boundary between routine care and avoidable harm. Decongestants reduce nasal mucosal congestion through adrenergic effects, so learners must protect patients with cardiovascular, glaucoma, urinary retention, thyroid, pregnancy, pediatric, and interaction risks. For Family nurse practitioner readiness, the learner must not memorize a list in isolation. The safer pattern is to ask what patient problem is being treated, what physiologic change is expected, what finding would make the treatment unsafe, and which action fits primary-care differential diagnosis, prescribing decisions, patient counseling, follow-up, and referral.
