REx-PN
Neuroblastoma is a malignant tumour that develops from immature sympathetic nervous system cells. It most often starts in the adrenal gland, but it can also arise along the sympathetic nerve chain in the neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, or near the spine. It is most common in infants and young children, often diagnosed before age 5. For the RPN, the priority is early recognition of concerning symptoms, safe monitoring, supportive care, infection precautions, pain assessment, family teaching reinforcement, and rapid escalation of red flags.
